Article VI National Administration Section 1. The administrative power of the association shall be vested in its presidents. Section 2. Elections of national officers of the national administration shall be held at a national conference of the association at the end of the tenure of their offices. Section 3. Officers of the national administration shall be: 1) President, 2) vice President, 3) Secretary, 4) Financial secretary,5) Treasurer, 6) General Coordinator, 7) Choir Director, 8) Asst. Choir Director, and 9) Chaplain Section 4. Standing committees of the national administration shall be: (a) National Executive Committee,(b) Outreach Committee, (c) Membership Committee, (d) Finance Committee,(e) Planning and Program, (f) Award and Entertainment Committee (g) Project Committee, (h) Credential Committee and (I) Grievance Committee.
Section 5. Elections of officers of the local administration shall be held at an assembly meeting of the branch. The procedure for elections shall be the same as of the national administration, except that the tenure of offices are two years. At the desire of an officer, he/she can seek re-elections for more than two terms. The committees shall be the same as of the national administration.
Article VII Statement of Faith Section 1. We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God and inerrant in its original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21). Section 2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Exodus 20:2-3; Matt. 18:19; I Corinthians 8:6) Section 3. We believe in the resurrection of our Lord, and in His ascension into heaven. (Matt. 28:1-7; Hebrews 4:14-16)
Section 4. We believe that all who receives the Lord Jesus by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. (John 1:12-13)
Section 5. We believe in speaking one to another in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with our hearts to the Lord (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16).
Article VIII Membership Section 1. The membership of JCCA-US is open to everyone who subscribes to and supports the general principles and accepts the statement of faith. Section 2. Voting members shall be those who are in good standing (pay dues, taxation, attend meetings and programs) according to the membership requirements, and are in attendance at annual conferences. Section 3. Registered member of the association can live anywhere in the United States but must choose a branch of his/her choice. Honorary members shall be recommended by the administration and approved by the board, but are not registered members. Article IX Anniversary Celebration and National Conference The Association shall have anniversary celebration and national conference every year. The Anniversary celebration shall be held in March and national conference in June.
Section 1. The Purpose of the anniversary is for thanksgiving in celebrating the founding day of the association and to make a joyful noise; all to the glory of God.
Section 2. All members of the association are to attend. A minimum fee per member and anniversary fee per branch shall be determined by the national board of directors.
Section 3. The purpose of the annual conference is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through songs and music. To equip the association by providing a connection for ministry with church denominations beyond its local branches; and raise funds for its projects, all to the glory of God.
Section 4. All members of the association shall constitute members of the conference. All registered members at the conference shall have the right to vote on all matters including elections of officers of the national administration and members to the board.
Section 5. It is the duty of every registered member at an annual conference to attend all its sessions and vote. Section 6. The annual conference shall have power to make inquiry into the membership and financial status of every branch and give recognition to any new branch. Every branch should select the same bank as of the national administration. The branch shall select to have it own account or deposit money in the name of the national administration on a restricted fund account.
Section 7. The business session of the annual conference shall open with a period of devotion. The chairperson of the credential committee shall call the roll of registered members at the conference at each session. The chairperson of the national membership committee shall call the roll of members of every branch of the association during the first session.
Article X Amendments Any amendments to this constitution shall require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the voting members present at the national convention of JCCA-US provided that written notice of the intent to amend the Constitution shall be sent by U.S. post-paid mail to the various branches of the association at least ninety (90) days prior to said convention.
